Jana is running a fever - 101 but but arm not red and vaccination doesn't appear to be taking.

Mom went home this morning. This afternoon the power went off all over Iowa & parts of 6 other states. Off for about 2 hours. Trouble at Ft. Randall Dam in S. Dakota. Today is Ron's mom's birthday. We all went over to Mary Ann's for cake & ice cream for her.

Mom went into Hospital tonite. Marian & Helen stopped by here. I went up to hospital later & Mike & Verla were there.

Jana had her Small Pox vaccination today.
Tonite we went to Urias' for martinis, then to dinner party at Lombardi.

Got permanent today at LaPetite beauty shop.
No school today. Joni went to Debbie Deskin's birthday party this evening.

Went to Joe & Faye's early today to make yifinites.
Tonight Ron & I went out to Ray & Ellen Janiks.
Blogger comment: I remember when we went to Uncle Joe's house in Des Moines and Dad helped him make this Bohemian sausage that I always thought was called "iffernits". I tried to find it on the internet and couldn't find anything the way either Mom or I spelled it. I remember that it was made of head meat from pigs and Uncle Joe had a hand cranked meat grinder and another machine that stuffed the ground filling into pig intestines. I thought the whole thing was awful and it smelled terrible!

Jill started taking dancing lessons today at Sally Kay Studio - 1/2 hour tap & 1/2 hour for ballet & acrobats.
