Hot day - 91 degrees. Went to Joe's after work & put in telephone for him. Went to party at Bob Cobbler's after we got home.

Got first issue of Time - ordered 21 weeks at $1.87 (to about Sept. 15). Ron & kids tore down playhouse tonite.
Ron & Todd went to Pack meeting - got home at 8:00.
Ron and I went to late movie - Goldfinger.

Joni came home at 9:00 - fell in bed and slept till 4:30. Stayed home - rainy today.

Sewed Joni a Mu-Mu today.
Tonite went to Des Moines to the Boy Scout Exposition. Joe & Faye went along.
Joni stayed home and went to double birthday party. Skating for Sherry Mielke and then slumber party at Dran Hassig;s. It stormed and high winds.

Edith had surgery on her foot this morning at Lutheran in Des Moines. Kids didn't have school today. Tonite we went up to see Edith. She's doing fine.

Joni promoted to Minnow II in her swimming class.

Good Friday - Went to Des Moines today to get bumper changed. Had dinner with Joe & Faye. Nice day. Got home about 8.

Jana is 2 years old today. Big day! We got her a wagon, stool and toys. Gram's and Mary Ann got her dresses and pajamas. We decorated the family room. She enjoyed it all.

Joe & Faye came today and Ron's folks came over. My folks and Mike & Verla came out in the evening. Faye brought a cake for Jana.

Today is Joe Frus' birthday - 58.
Also today - Joni's piano teacher's 50th wedding anniversary - Mr. & Mrs. Jay Parsons. We fixed a cake and took it to them.

Joni babysat today for the first real time. I had conferences at school with kids teachers. Doing pretty well. Todd needs to improve reading, Joni math and Jill pay attention.
