Aunt Ruth's birthday so we had cake & party.
Mike & Verla came & got the dryer.
Todd stayed all night with Jack Raridon.

Todd had ball game against Cubs and won. Puts them in first place with only one game left and no losses.

Mother had surgery today. Came through fine. Aunt Ruth stayed with her all night.
Thursday, June 24, 1965
Cards played Phillies tonight. Won 11-3. Todd hit 3 times.
Jill's Brownies had a program at Woodland Park tonite.
Mike stayed all night with Todd.

Joni had game tonite. Lost 6-4.
Joni stayed all nite tonite at Woodland Park with Girl Scouts.
Jill passed in swimming from Minnow I to Fish.

Ron planted 3rd bunch or corn this morning.
Todd had 7 boys from the Card's team to sleep out in the tent in the back yard tonite.

Dran stayed all night with Joni.
Jill started to Brownies Day Camp today (Woodland Park).

Today - Joni's 11th birthday & Father's Day.
First time since she was born on Father's Day.
We gave her a blue telephone for her room.
Had Mom & Zen out for dinner.

Didn't do much. Joe & Faye stopped on way to Iowa City. Worked on dress.
Tonite we went to drive-in movie.
Jackie in heat for first time.

Edith's half-sister Rose & husband from California came. We went over to see them for a while.
Joni went to movies with Lisa VanDrimmelen.

Joni & Todd both had ball games and won.
Found out today Mother has to go to hospital on 27th for hysterectomy.

Joni had 5 girls tonite for an early birthday party. Jane, Dran, Shelly, Lisa & Joanne. Had Scavenger hunt - then supper (hamburgers) on patio. Then played miniature golf. Easy fun party.

Phil & Ernie called and came down in afternoon.

Tonite we went to Rock Creek & camped out for first time.
Got new 2 piece dress, white stretch pants and material to make cross stitch dress.

I had club here tonite. Only had 4 girls though.
Joni camped out with Girl Scouts in Markle's back yard.

Jill had her dance recital tonite. She wore a white bunny costume. Did real well.
Todd had ball game. Played Cubs - won 6-3.
Monday, June 7, 1965
Joni & Jill got their hair cut this morning. I got a permanent in the afternoon at Don's.
Joni had a ball game tonite. Played Emerson Hough - won.
Todd & Ron had ball practice.
Linda stayed all night.

Drove to Des Moines to look at sleeping bags. Came home early & Ron mowed the yard.

Joni passed from Minnow II to Flying Fish - skipping Fish! Also she got 5 A's on report card. All kids did good and Carolyn & Tim stayed all night.
Thursday, June 3, 1965
Tonite Cards played Hawks & won 7-1. Todd did wonderful. Hit a triple & a single in one inning and another single in next inning. Best he's ever done.
