Ridiculous Day.
Ron bought a suit & shoes.
Got some fish for 25 cents.
Took Todd to Dr. - found out he had rupture & will have to be operated on.
Left tonite to go camping & boating at Black Hawk Lake with Bob & Jeanne Faust & family.

Thursday, July 29, 1965

Cards played make-up game with Bears & won. Makes perfect season with no losses. Then we went to Woodland Park & had picnic for ball team.

Joni & Jill had beatnik party. 8 girls all together. I took them to the drive-in & they slept out in the tent.

Drove out to Anderson's tonite and visited a while.

First All-Star practice today.

Tim stayed all night.

Took it easy today. Still didn't feel good.

Left Denver about 4:30 - drove all day straight through. Stopped and picked up Jackie & got home about 8:30. I got stomach flu a couple hours before we got home.

Stayed at Wishmeier's today. Took most of day - running down a piece for car and getting it fixed. I washed - kids went swimming. We went & watched Jim play ball. Ate & drank & went to bed fairly early.

Today - Jill's 8th birthday!
Didn't really celebrate though - left Karna & Joe's and went home to Denver with Wishmeier's. Kids went swimming. We cooked steaks out. Ron & I wore Wishmeier's clothes and we went to Taylor's. Saw Ned & Becky Sackett there.

We met Jack & Leona Wishmeier today. They came to Karna & Joe's and are staying (camping).

Went over Trail Ridge Road today and got to Karna & Joe's about 4:30. Stayed at their place - Beacon Boatel on Grand Lake.

Left this morning on vacation. Took Jackie to Joe's. Nice traveling day. Drove to Sterling, Colorado and camped out at City Park. All went swimming & out to eat before bed.
